UN Women supports women’s leadership in Jordan’s trade unions

Amman, 24 March 2015. From 22nd -24th March 2015, the UN Women Jordan ‘Spring Forward’ team organized a workshop for selected members of Jordan’s General Federation Union, targeting members of the union’s women’s committee.
The training has been instrumental to empower female members for the upcoming round of the union’s general elections, which will take place in October 2015. In particular, participants were trained in leadership, communication and negotiation skills, establishing positive linkages in the peer-to-peer learning session.
