In partnership with Queen Zein Al Sharaf Institute for Development (ZENID), through this project UN Women aims at increasing the capacity of dynamic and promising young men and women, identified from the selected communities, to advocate for women´s human rights and to use The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) as the main advocacy tool. The project provided youth with various skills through training on different topics including CEDAW, women’s rights, advocacy, volunteerism and others.

Project Achievements:

  1. Creation of a team of 48 equipped, empowered, and skilled young volunteers both males and females volunteers to advocate for women’s rights.
  2. Production of a CEDAW advocacy toolkit and volunteerism manual.
