IMAGES Jordan is a comprehensive piece of research aimed at building an understanding of men’s and women’s attitudes and practices related to gender equality in Jordan. The study surveyed 2,400 Jordanian men and women aged 18-59, from 12 governorates across Jordan, as well as 512 Syrian men and women living in Amman, Zarqa, Irbid and Mafraq. The research also includes a qualitative component that involved 110 men and women who participated in 12 focus group discussions and 17 in-depth interviews.

IMAGES Jordan is a research of UN Women, undertaken in partnership with the University of Jordan’s Center for Strategic Studies (CSS), the Information and Research Center at King Hussein Foundation (IRCKHF), and Equimundo.

IMAGES Jordan was developed under the framework of the UN Women’s regional programme ‘Men and Women for Gender Equality’, funded by Sweden, with additional funds from the Government of the United Kingdom.
