Introducing the Digital Forum on Women in Media and Gender-Sensitive Reporting During COVID-19

On 29 June 2020, UN Women and the Jordanian National Commission for Women presented the initiative ‘Digital Forum on Women in Media and Gender-Sensitive Reporting During the COVID-19 Pandemic’ during the Youm Jadeed programme of Jordan TV. The Forum took place on 1 July 2020 and focused on the fundamental connections between pandemics, journalism and gender equality, as well as the role of gender-sensitive reporting during crises such as the COVID-19 outbreak. This initiative is held under the framework of Jordan’s National Action Plan on UN Security Council resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security generously supported by the Governments of Canada, Finland, Norway, Spain and the United Kingdom.Video courtesy of Jordan TV.
