The General Framework for Gender Equality in Jordan

The General Framework for Gender Equality in Jordanprepared by the Economic and Social Council in partnership with UN Women Jordan (under the UN Women’s flagship program ‘Women Count’) examines the prospects and challenges for achieving the gender equality commitments of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by including the compilation of data, legal information, social perspectives that provide comparisons between men and women within economic, social, and political spheres and it outlines recommendations in a comprehensive way, that includes women and girls facing multiple forms of discrimination.
