The 63rd session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW63) will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 11 to 22 March 2019. Member States and civil society organizations from around the world will attend the biggest annual gathering focused on women’s rights. This year, the theme focuses on:  Social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.

The Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and UN Women invite you to the side event, 'Investing in social protection systems in a resilience context: empowerment models for women and girls.' This side event brings together national and international partners to highlights Jordan’s resilience-based approach, addressing the specific needs of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanian women and girls in the context of the protracted regional turmoil and its impact on public services and national systems for protection.
